My general research interests lie at the intersection of Machine Learning, Algorithms for Large scale data and Web mining. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, I worked with Prof. Sunita Sarawagi as a Research Associate at IIT Bombay. Prior to that, I have worked at Yahoo! Labs with the Search Sciences division for the better part of a year and with the Information Management group at IBM Research, India as a Research Intern.
I completed my Masters of Technology from the Department of CSE at IIT Bombay in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan. My thesis topic was Extending BET : An ILP workbench for Probabilistic Relational models. Check out my Publications for further details.
Before joining IIT Bombay for my Masters, I spent an enjoyable four years working at various capacities at Patni Computer Sytems Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (now acquired by iGate). Check out my Resume for further details on some of the Projects I was involved with.
