More Research for Undergraduates

As told to me by my current undergraduate researchers, Rensselaer undergraduates are hungry for research projects. A junior colleague recently sent out an e-mail requesting undergraduate researchers. Within 15 minutes, he had over 20 responses. To meet this demand, I plan to expand my use of undergraduates in my research programs wherever possible. In particular, I plan to use four top undergraduates from my Computer Organization course for the research project proposed here. The purpose of these projects is to provide undergraduate students with the exciting and rewarding experience of working on an innovative research project. My graduate students will also gain invaluable management experience in overseeing these undergraduates.
