9/14/2001 Message to the Rensselaer Community

President Bush has called for a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance on Friday, September 14, 2001.
On that occasion, Rensselaer will observe a Period of Reflection from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. During that period, the university will cease classes and business operations.
From 11:00 am until 11:30 am, the Rensselaer community will observe a non-sectarian Gathering for Remembrance in the Alumni Sports and Recreation Center (the former Armory building). Our Community will have an opportunity to join in silent remembrance and reflection. I encourage all of us to join together for this important moment.
