Connect 4 pre-tournament

This system has been set up to help you develop your Connect 4 evaluation function by providing a place for you to upload an evaluation function, challenge another student's player to a match, and to view the current standings. This is called the "pre-tournament" because it is before the round-robin tournament that we will run with your current evaluation function as of 10:00am on Thursday October 23.

Upload a new evaluation function
A test will be performed to make sure you can play an entire game without causing an error. Also, the "depth test" will be performed. Your evaluation function will be run to increasing depths on two different board states. Your evaluation function will be run in future games to the greatest depth that does not exceed 10 seconds (average) on these two tests. It will probably take several minutes, more when the system is heavily loaded, to run these tests.
Your statistics are reset every time you upload a new evaluation function.

BTW, the evaluation functions for whuang, meisne, and parimi are all currently either example-1 or example-2 (or maybe example-3 which is not released), so don't be surprised when we're down at the bottom of the rankings!
Request a match
It may take as much as 5 minutes, perhaps more when the system is heavily loaded, to run a match. Please don't go crazy requesting matches --- one at a time please --- or the server will slow to a crawl...
You will be able to request a match with players that are -5 to +15 ranks relative to you. Because of ties in the rankings, this generally means there will be more than 20 players that you can challenge.
